A Hollywood director was convicted on charges for scamming Netflix out of millions of dollars for a show that was never made.
Carl Erik Rinsch, director of the film "47 Ronin," was convicted of wire fraud , money laundering and other charges on Thursday, December 11, the Associated Press news agency reported .
It is reported that he scammed streaming giant Netflix out of $11 million for a show that never happened, and used the money on purchases that included several Rolls-Royces, a Ferrari, about $1 million in mattresses and luxury bedding.
