Indian Railways is preparing to roll out its first-ever Vande Bharat Sleeper Express, and the inaugural route is set to be the busy Patna–New Delhi corridor. The new sleeper configuration designed for long-distance overnight travel — is in the final stages of preparation at the BEML factory in Bengaluru, with the first rake expected to be dispatched after December 12. Trial runs have begun, and Railways is aiming to start regular services before the New Year.
