Royal Mail has issued an important update for customers this week, relating to the frequency of mail deliveries across some parts of the UK.

Mail should be delivered to addresses six days a week if Royal Mail has it, however, “local issues” might mean “this may temporarily not be possible”.

Royal Mail said: “In a small number of local offices, this may temporarily not be possible due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors.”

It said that these areas will see deliveries be rotated so individuals see a minimal delay in receiving their mail.

The offices having issues will also receive “targeted support” to try to “address their challenges”.
