Arne Slot has revealed he will conduct face-to-face discussions with Mohamed Salah this morning and insists he sees no grounds for the forward's departure.

Salah was excluded from the 19-man Liverpool squad that journeyed to Italy on Monday ahead of Tuesday evening's Champions League encounter with Inter following incendiary remarks in the mixed zone after the 3-3 Premier League draw at Leeds United.

The Egyptian declared he was "being thrown under the bus" by the Reds and that his rapport with head coach Slot had entirely deteriorated after being left as an unused substitute for the second occasion in three matches.
