A crash on the M8 motorway in Glasgow has sparked travel delays for rush hour commuters. ‌

The incident occurred on the M8 Westbound at 8.58am on Friday morning. Traffic is restricted with 5 minute delays anticipated, and delays of 12 minutes for drivers from the M80. ‌

Two of five lanes remain open to keep traffic moving, but disruption is expected due to the collision. ‌

It is unclear how many vehicles were involved or if anyone has been injured.

Traffic Scotland stated: "The M8 is restricted northbound due to a road traffic collision. Lanes one and two (of 5) remain open. Article continues below

"Drivers should use caution on approach and expect delays. Current delay on M8 approx. 4 mins From the M80 approx. 12 mins", reports Glasgow Live.
