Struggle is not new

Why is it London Mayor Josh Morgan is just now realizing homelessness and addiction are a state of emergency when they have been for years? People in poverty, like me and many others, struggle every day. Every month it comes down to paying a bill or buying food.

It is never in the budget to help those who need it, like people on Ontario Works or the Ontario disability support program.

I wonder if Mayor Josh Morgan and city council understand the irony in declaring a climate emergency and then building thousands of homes in London. The production of concrete is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions.
