Kochi (Kerala): The District Court on Friday pronounced the quantum of punishment in the 2017 actress assault case.
The prime accused, Pulsar Suni, together with the five other convicts, was sentenced to 20 years in prison. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on each, stating that failure to pay the fine would result in additional imprisonment.
Ernakulam Principal Sessions Judge Honey M Varghese had on December 8 found the first six accused, Sunil alias Pulsar Suni, Martin Antony, Manikandan B, Vijesh V P, Salim H and Pradeep, guilty.
