TANNERSVILLE, Pa. — Camelback Resort in the Poconos is off to a busy start this winter, as the first ski resort to open for the season in Pennsylvania.

"Cold temperatures, snow have hit the region early and we're taking full advantage of it. 18 trails, four lifts right now, the skiing and snow tubing is amazing," Camelback Resort General Manager Jason Bays said.

Camelback's snow tubing park opened Thursday and thousands of people are expected to snow tube this weekend. New this year, an enhanced lighting and sound system. Currently there are 22 lanes open.

"You just show up, you grab a tube, we have a magic carpet that takes you to the top of the mountain here and then you can slide down and have the time of your life," Bays said.
