LYON COUNTY, Iowa (KTIV) - Two Northwest Iowa women have been arrested on car theft and OWI charges.
21-year-old Prairee Springer, of Sioux City, and 24-year-old Brandy DeCora, of Winnebago, Nebraska, were arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 2:43 a.m., according to authorities.
Court documents state Lyon County Communications’ non-emergency line received a call from DeCora, stating that Springer and she stole a vehicle and they had run out of gas.
Authorities state the vehicle was reported stolen out of Plymouth County on the same day as the arrest. Documents report Springer allegedly stole the keys to the vehicle and an iPhone from the victim’s home.
Authorities say the odor of alcohol was present while speaking with DeCora. Documents state DeCora was brought back to the sheriff’s offic
