EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A 17-year-old boy died Wednesday after being stabbed at a Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) rapid station.

The attack happened at the Superior Road Station in the 13100 block of Superior Ave. around 1 p.m. Thursday.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Jamir Peak, of Cleveland.

The medical examiner said Peak died from his injuries at University Hospitals.

According to a GCRTA spokesperson, there was a fight before the stabbing happened.

The rapid station was closed until around 5 p.m. Thursday.

The GCRTA Transit Police are leading the investigation.
