AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Two local sheriff’s offices have received donations of bullet and stab protective vests for their K9 officers.
In Richmond County, K9s Arie and Roy will get a protective vest within the next 10 weeks.
Arie’s vest was sponsored by Bridget Saunders of Elkton, MD. Roy’s vest was sponsored by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.
Richmond County Sheriff’s Office hosts Shop with a Cop event
Joy radiated through the aisles on Thursday as Sheriff Eugene Brantley kicked off his first Shop with a Cop event since stepping into the role.
Both vests will be embroidered with the sentiment “Honoring those who served and sacrificed”.
Meanwhile, the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office announced K9 Renzo also be received a protective vest, donated by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.
