Everyone makes a fuss about black mould - and quite rightly - but many households are overlooking another, often more dangerous type of bacterial growth in their houses.
Orange mould, as the name suggests, is a different coloured type of mould that is often found in different parts of the house and much like black mould , thrives on damp conditions.
According to mould removal experts Mould Men, orange mould is found most often on wood surfaces, and tends to grow in attics, kitchens , wooden windowsills, basements and gardens and it has a much more slimy and lumpy texture.
It says: “Easily distinguishable by its bright orange colour, orange mould is a fungus that works to break down organic matter. It loves dark, moist places like soil and some foods.
