KELOWNA, BC — Minnesota-based Team Peterson proved their mettle in a win-or-go-home match, toppling Norway 8-4 to secure a U.S. curling berth in the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

The win came less than 24 hours after the U.S. Men's team also punched its ticket to Milan Cortina , felling a team from China in their qualification event in Kelowna, BC.

Team Peterson is led by skip Tabitha Peterson and her younger sister Tara, a sweeper. The Peterson girls grew up in Burnsville and learned the sport at the St. Paul Curling Club. Rounding out the U.S. women's squad are lead Taylor Anderson-Heide and third Cory Thiesse.
