Transpennine Express is launching a new timetable this weekend which is set to bring “more services and extra capacity” across the north and in Scotland. The updated timetable will be introduced from Sunday, December 14, alongside the rest of the rail industry.
Part of the changes includes boosted capacity on Sunday services on the rail operator's South route, which runs between Liverpool Lime Street and Cleethorpes via Manchester and Sheffield. Most of these services will now operate with six-car carriages, “providing greater capacity for weekend travellers”.
