Residents in Larkhall in South Lanarkshire gathered outside their local Bank of Scotland branch yesterday (December 11) to protest its closure. The area's BoS, which is the last bank branch remaining in Larkhall is due to shut its doors in January, which locals believe will impact their high street and 'hit vulnerable people the hardest'.

Locals gathered yesterday morning to peacefully voice their concerns outside the area's Bank of Scotland branch, which is set for closure on January 8. Residents gathered outside the bank holding signs that read "Stop the closure of our bank" and "We are asking for an independent review".

Protestors could also be heard chanting: "Bank closed equals greed, bank open equals need."
