The big story, as we move into the weekend, is a significant shift to much colder air. We're talking about an influx of frigid Arctic air that will make Saturday night into Sunday the coldest period, with dangerously cold wind chills dipping below zero and actual air temperatures feeling, well, extreme – possibly even flirting with record lows.
However, don't put away those lighter jackets for too long! Looking ahead, we anticipate a substantial warming trend kicking off next week.
By Wednesday, we expect temperatures to climb back above the freezing mark, and by late next week, we could be pushing into the 60s. This dramatic shift will bring a return of more seasonable, and even quite pleasant, conditions.
