Hyderabad: Food poisoning cases in the State government-run schools continue unabated, with 60 students now falling ill after consuming food in their respective schools in Hyderabad.

In the first incident, as many as 44 students of Government Primary School Chandu Nayak Thanda in Madhapur here fell ill after having the mid-day meal.

While 107 students consumed the meal comprising rice, dal and kesari (sweet), which was supplied by an agency, 44 students complained of nausea and vomiting.

A total of 38 students were rushed to Area Hospital in Kondapur, while six students, reportedly in serious condition, were shifted to a private hospital in the area.
