Liverpool icon Roberto Firmino has reacted with warmth to the idea that Mohamed Salah and Arne Slot could put their differences aside. The Egyptian's former teammate did so in the aftermath of Reds head coach's discussion with the media on Friday morning.

In his pre-Brighton press conference, Slot confirmed there will be decisive face-to-face talks between himself and Salah . "I will have a conversation with him this morning and the outcome of that conversation will determine how it looks tomorrow," the head coach explained.

"What I need is a conversation with him and the next time I speak about Mo should be with him and not in here. There's not much more I can say.
