Fire fighters were called to an address in Coventry amid rush hour on Friday morning (12 December) to help the ambulance service who were trying reach a patient. Emergency services, understood to include an air ambulance, rushed to the Allesley Old Road end of Found Pounds Avenue just after 8am.
Crews from two stations sent engines and specialist equipment to assist paramedics attempting access a home. An individual was subsequently rushed to hospital.
A commuter alerted CoventryLive at the time, letting us know they'd seen fire engines on the Allesley Old Road and what they believed was an air ambulance which had landed at nearby Lake View Park.
