Goalkeeper Emi Martinez and defender Pau Torres will be assessed by Aston Villa's medical staff ahead of their Premier League clash with West Ham this weekend.

The duo missed Thursday's Europa League win over Basel having both started the victory over Arsenal last weekend.

Villa were due to train this afternoon and tomorrow morning before travelling south to the capital to face Nuno Espirito Santo's strugglers.

Manager Unai Emery said: "We need now to know how they are, the players after yesterday - the players who played and the players who were injured.

"We are training now and we are going to train tomorrow morning. And then travel to London.
