Linda Ashley, principal of Center School in Mattapoisett, plans to retire at the end of the 2025-26 school year, according to a community announcement from the Old Rochester Regional School District.

The district is planning to begin the search for a new principal in the coming weeks, with updates to be shared with staff and families as the process progresses.

Ashley has more than 35 years of experience in education. She became principal of Center School in July 2022. Before that, she held principal positions in Franklin, Milford and Norton Public Schools, and worked as a curriculum director supporting teaching and learning across pre-K-12 grade levels.
