HOUSTON — The next phase of World Cup ticket sales is now open, giving fans a limited window to enter FIFA’s official ticket lottery — and early price checks are offering a clearer picture of what attending matches in Houston could cost.
To participate, fans must register through FIFA’s website to enter a lottery pool. Winners are randomly selected and given the opportunity to purchase tickets.
What tickets are costing so far
A KHOU 11 News producer registered for the draw to review current ticket pricing tied to upcoming matches.
For the first game, the cheapest seats are priced at $180, while lower-level seats run about $500 per ticket.
Prices vary depending on the matchup.
For Portugal’s first match, tickets were listed at $700 each, which is about $200 more for lower-level seats.
