Drivers are being advised to fill up their tanks over the coming days amid rising prices.

Motoring organisation the RAC said fuel prices were rising at their fastest rate in 18 months.

It deals a cost of living blow to households ahead of the expensive Christmas period.

With this in mind, it may be a good idea to fill up now over the coming days with the prospect of prices surging even higher.

The cheapest rates are usually found at supermarkets.

Petrol prices went up 2.17p in November, taking the average cost of a litre to 137.17p, which the RAC said was the highest price since mid-March 2025.
