The mother of a paperboy who went missing without a trace more than 40 years ago refuses to surrender hope he's alive and well – even claiming he once returned to tell her a harrowing truth.

Johnny Gosch was just 12 when he mysteriously disappeared while delivering early-morning newspapers on September 5, 1982. Witnesses reported seeing a blue vehicle pull up beside the youngster to ask for directions near Marcourt Lane in West Des Moines, Iowa .
