WHEELER COUNTY, Neb. (KSNB) - A Colorado man is dead after a crash with a semi in Wheeler County.
Shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 8, the Wheeler County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash at the intersection of Highway 281 and Highway 70 east.
According to the press release, a 2014 Peterbilt with a grain trailer was traveling north on Highway 281 when it collided with a 2007 Ford F-150. The press release says the F-150 did not yield to the semi as the driver of the F-150 attempted to turn southbound from Highway 70 onto Highway 281.
The driver and sole occupant of the F-150, identified as Harold Hockett, 88, of Colorado, was transported from the scene and declared dead.
