A Dudley teenager is due to appear in court next year accused of attempted theft, assault and possession of cannabis.

It comes after police were called to an attempted moped theft at an industrial estate off Third Avenue in Kingswinford on Thursday, December 11.

Dylan Glyptis, 18, has been scheduled to appear at Dudley Magistrates Court on January 8.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We've charged a teenager with attempted theft, assault and possession of cannabis in Kingswinford.

"We were called to reports of attempts to steal a moped at an industrial estate off Third Avenue yesterday morning (11 December).

"A member of the public was assaulted as they tried to intervene.
