CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Adam Wurtzel went to the Samaritan’s Purse processing center to learn more about Operation Christmas Child .

The holiday initiative sees nearly 1,000 local volunteers packing shoeboxes filled with toys to send to children in need all around the world. While this initiative is happening nationwide, the shoeboxes in Charlotte will be sent to Colombia, Chile and Ecuador.
