A Southfield man has been charged with a felony for allegedly driving with drugs and alcohol in his system and then causing a crash with a motorcyclist, killing him.
Paul Stuart Dickson, 55, is charged with operating while impaired causing death for the Sept. 25 incident on Eight Mile Road in Southfield. According to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office, Dickson failed to yield the right of way and pulled in front of motorcyclist Fernando Porter, who then collided with Dickson’s vehicle. Porter subsequently died from injuries sustained in the crash, the prosecutor’s office said.
