Liverpool, N.Y. — A Mack truck hit the Onondaga Lake Parkway railroad bridge Friday morning.
Around 8:51 a.m., police were called to the parkway after the truck hit the bridge, according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatches.
The truck was able to keep moving and went to the other side before coming to a stop on the shoulder of the right lane.
The truck was traveling east from Liverpool toward Syracuse. The top of the truck appeared to have some damage.
All lanes of traffic were closed initially after the crash, but police quickly opened one lane to let vehicles pass, according to 511 NY. All lanes reopened around 10:58 a.m.
Clearance under the bridge is 10 feet 9 inches.
This is at least the fifth time a truck has hit the parkway bridge this year.
