New rules revealed in the Budget will make salary sacrifice less lucrative, especially for those on middle incomes.

Currently, workers who use the salary sacrifice scheme do not have to pay any National Insurance or income tax on that portion of their salary, reports Express.co.uk.

From 2029, the amount staff can salary sacrifice without paying National Insurance will be capped at £2,000 -a-year.
