Wenne Alton Davis, an actor who appeared in the Amazon series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” died in a car crash in New York.
In a statement to NBC News , the New York Police Department said Davis was found lying in the road after a Black Cadillac SUV driven by a 61-year-old struck their vehicle on West 53rd Street and Broadway.
Davis, 60, sustained severe trauma to the head and body and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where they were pronounced dead, police told NBC.
Jamie Harris, Davis’ agent, posted on Instagram: “Rest in peace, old friend. We will miss you forever,” alongside a photo of him with Davis.
Davis, who appeared as a cop on the “Maisel,” also had roles in shows like “Blindspot” and “New Amsterdam,” and had a small part in the 2011 film “Shame,” starring Michael Fassbe
