The brother in law of former first minister Humza Yousaf has been acquitted of extortion and drugs charges during a high court culpable homicide trial. ‌

Ramsay El Nakla , 37, was acquitted of all charges on Friday after prosecutors accepted his not guilty pleas to the allegations facing him at proceedings. ‌

El Nakla was standing trial at the High Court in Edinburgh alongside his co-accused Stephen Stewart , 52, Jennifer Souter, 39, and Victoria McGowan, 43. ‌

The quartet, who all come from the Dundee area, were alleged to have intimidated Ryan Munro at a flat in Morgan Street, in their home city on January 9 and 10 last year and extorted a sum of money from him by threats.
