Just couldn’t help but wonder how a judge ordered the release of Karoline Leavitt’s relative from ICE custody (“ Judge orders release of Karoline Leavitt’s relative from ICE custody ,” Dec. 9). Do you think it might have had to do with the fact that she happens to be the White House press secretary’s relative? Maybe being related to the press secretary helps.

Also, her bond was the lowest amount allowed under the law. It turns out she was engaged to Karoline’s brother, and it appears he is the father of their child for which they share custody. That makes her 11-year-old son Karoline’s nephew.

The moral of the story is, it’s all who you know; better yet, if the one you know is the White House press secretary.
