SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

The summer X Games are confirmed to head to Sacramento after organizers pushed back their original date.

Visit Sacramento, the city's tourism bureau, told KCRA 3 that the world-famous extreme sports competition will take place from June 26-28, bringing more than 100 athletes and a lineup of music performances in what the X Games calls the X Fest.

The games were originally supposed to take place this year at Cal Expo in August, but organizers postponed their event to work on launching their new league called the X Games League.
