The Weyburn Oilwomen’s Association is once again stepping up to ensure financial barriers don't stop local students from celebrating their high school graduation.
The organization has confirmed its popular grad initiative will return for the Class of 2026. The program is designed to assist students who might otherwise struggle to afford the costs associated with the milestone event.
Carmen Sterling, board chair for WOW, says the project is close to the hearts of the board members, many of whom remember the excitement of their own graduations.
"We saw a gap in our community where some graduates, male and female, may not have access to the resources to be able to have that full experience," said Sterling.
