Steelers star T.J. Watt was released from the hospital on Friday after suffering a "partially" collapsed lung during treatment, his brother J.J. Watt said.
In an update posted to social media , J.J. Watt said T.J. Watt had successful surgery to stabilize and repair a "partially" collapsed lung. It happened during a dry needling treatment, which uses needles to help relieve pain, at the facility on Wednesday, J.J. Watt said.
At practice Friday afternoon, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed T.J. Watt had been released from the hospital. While NFL insider Ian Rappoport's sources report that T.J. Watt will play again this season, Tomlin said he's out for Monday night's game against the Miami Dolphins at Acrisure Stadium.
