The rain has finally relented in southern B.C. on Thursday, but floodwaters have left thousands of people in the province's Fraser Valley on edge.
Emergency officials expanded flood warnings and evacuation orders Thursday, as rivers continued rising after storms moved ashore Tuesday night and dumped up to 150 millimetres of rain on parts of southern B.C. through the day Wednesday.
"We're not yet through this emergency," Emergency Management Minister Kelly Greene said at a press conference.
She urged residents in at-risk areas to remain vigilant and be prepared to leave if the situation changes. WATCH | Here's where flood warnings, alerts remain in place:
