On Friday at 1:47 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated winter weather advisory valid from Saturday 1 p.m. until Monday 7 a.m. for Mercer, Venango, Forest, Clarion and Jefferson counties.
"Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches," can be expected according to the weather service. "Localized higher amounts may occur Sunday afternoon into Monday with lake effect snow bands. A Lake Effect Warning may be needed for a few counties."
"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning commute," explains the weather service. "Please report snow or ice accumulations by calling 412-262-1988, posting to the NWS Pittsburgh Facebook page, or using X @NWSPittsburgh."
