Delaware’s U.S. attorney Julianne Murray, who President Donald Trump appointed in July, has resigned. The state’s top prosecutor abruptly stepped down on Friday amid the Trump administration’s push to install loyalists as prosecutors across the country. Murray, a former chair of the Delaware Republican Party, made the announcement on a post on X. “I cannot in good conscience allow my office to become a political football,” she said in her statement.
