Thousands of underwater LED lights sold on Amazon are dangerous because they contain coin batteries that children can easily access and swallow, a federal safety agency said.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said people should stop using the 32,700 Mchoter mini submersible lights that were sold for about $23 from March 2024 through October 2025. The commission said the lights also may have been sold by various third-party sellers and on other websites.

“The LED lights contain lithium coin batteries that can be accessed easily by children, posing an ingestion hazard. Additionally, the LED light sets and remote control do not have the warnings as required by Reese’s Law, ” the CPSC said.
