TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - As the new year approaches, many of us will greet the year with resolutions to take better care of ourselves - to eat better, exercise more and lose weight.
For people with diabetes, those changes can be both health-boosting and life-saving.
There’s a new program in Tallahassee, especially designed to help diabetics go into remission.
Instead of a group fitness class, it’s more like a group medical visit.
The group has been gathering on Monday afternoons this fall.
Participants have been monitoring glucose levels, setting goals, sharing experiences and learning healthy habits to try to bring their diabetes under control - and ultimately into remission.
