An "inspirational and caring" headteacher has suddenly died causing shock with tributes pouring in from the local community.

Alison Higgins was one half of the leadership team at Barham Primary School , in Barham near Canterbury , having taken up a role in the village 10 years ago. The school announced Alison's death on its website, saying she "died in the early hours of Monday".
