Brazen villains stole more than 600 "irreplaceable" artefacts from Bristol Museum during two heists more than a week apart.
The first raid on the archives of the museum's British Empire and Commonwealth collection was reported to police on September 17. Eight days later, four men returned to help themselves for a second time in what was described as a "high-value" theft , police revealed on Friday.
Bristol city council said 95% of the stolen items were taken during the later raid, raising questions about what action was taken by the museum to improve security after the first incident. Concerns have also been raised about why it took
