MONROE COUNTY, Ga. — A bridge in Monroe County reopened Friday after being damaged during a storm back in April 2022, according to the Monroe County Board of Commissioners.
They say that the Old Brent Road bridge, which spans Todd Creek just outside of Forsyth, has reopened after a $1.75 million construction project.
According to previous coverage, the bridge was shuttered after sustaining damage during a flood. A pipe burst underneath the bridge, causing it to cave in.
The Monroe County Board of Commissioners says that a construction firm out of Greenville concluded construction, which included installing a 4,480-square-foot prefabricated concrete bridge.
