MUSKEGO, Wis. — It’s still unclear what led to an early morning fire that tore through Bass Bay Brewhouse, a popular restaurant in Muskego, on Friday.

The fire burned down the restaurant, which had served as a gathering spot for the community and was often used to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and other milestones.
It also served as a home for the owner and his family, who lived there with his mom, sister, brother-in-law, and a niece and nephew. Thankfully, they all made it out of the fire safely.
However, they later learned two of the family's pets did not survive, according to TMJ4’s Rebecca Klopf.
