Kansas deputies are investigating after a Nebraska woman's body was found Thursday.

Law enforcement said a hunter found the body in a ditch in northwestern Jackson County, south of the Nebraska-Kansas border.

Deputies say the body was identified as that of a Nebraska woman, but the name is not being released until the family is notified.

It is not clear how long the body had been there or the cause of death. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office said no foul play is suspected at this time.
