Sunderland owner Kyril Louis-Dreyfus was left 'disgusted and hurt' by an unforgivable move the last time they played Newcastle at home.
The Black Cats hosted the Magpies in the FA Cup in January 2024 for the first Tyne-Wear Derby in eight years.
Newcastle ran out 3-0 winners in the clash at the Stadium of Light courtesy of a Dan Ballard own goal and an Alexander Isak brace.
To compound matters, the club was forced to apologise to supporters after a bar at the stadium was decked out in Newcastle colours .
"Sunderland AFC acknowledges that a serious error in judgement was made in relation to Black Cats Bar earlier this afternoon," the club wrote in a statement.
"We apologise to our fans for the understandable concern they have fairly voiced in response and this sentiment is shared
