A man extradited from Malaga to the UK to face major drug trafficking charges has admitted his role in a plot to smuggle large amounts of cocaine hidden inside empty gas canisters. Andrew Doran, 42, originally from Kirkby , was arrested by Spanish police earlier this year following a National Crime Agency (NCA) appeal.
He was flown back to the UK on October 1 by specialist officers from the NCA's National Extradition Unit. Investigators found Doran had used the encrypted EncroChat platform under the handle "jurgensixnineteen" to carry out criminal activity.
