EUGENE, Ore. - The Eugene Concert Choir is calling on talented singers to audition for its mid-season openings on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
According to the Eugene Concert Choir, positions are available in both the 100-member Eugene Concert Choir and the 40-voice Eugene Vocal Arts chamber ensemble. Auditions require appointments, and interested singers are urged to schedule soon. Participants will rehearse weekly through mid-May, with select members set to tour Puerto Rico next March. The audition process is brief, focusing on each singer's strengths. Candidates should prepare a solo, with classical pieces recommended, though any appropriate selection is welcome. An accompanist will be provided. Additional audition elements include scales, sight-reading, and a tonal-memory exercise.
