TEXAS — President Donald Trump signed a new executive order preventing state creation of laws surrounding artificial intelligence, and this will directly affect Texas legislation.

Trump’s executive order directly prohibits any state-created law for artificial intelligence, rather setting the standard at the federal level. According to the order, it was to usher in AI innovation and set a national precedent.
